This interesting old tree overlooks our neighborhood. I told my husband years ago that I needed to climb the hill it sits on, to get a picture of it before it falls. “Which tree are you talking about?” he replied. “That tree! The one at the top of the hill!” I couldn’t believe that he didn’t just see it. I pointed in its direction and realized there were in fact many trees on top of the hill. It sits in its own little clearing, but it’s not alone. I love the bends and twists in its always leafless branches. Something about the simple beauty of this dead tree makes it easy to overlook the living trees around it. I don’t expect this tree to stand much longer so I’m happy that this #30dayfabphotos challenge got me up the hill to finally take its picture.
